Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we deliver to?
We currently deliver across Johannesburg, Midrand, Centurion, Pretoria and Cape Town. For available suburbs, please review our delivery areas. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your area, please check with us at hello@julep.co.za and we will confirm.
When do we deliver?
We deliver in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town throughout the week (Monday to Friday). You are able to order for same day delivery, provided you place your order before 10:00.
Our deliveries take place between 12:00 and 17:00 each day. We deliver in the afternoons as we source fresh flowers every morning.
Do we offer same day flower delivery?
Yes, we offer same day delivery provided you place your order before 10:00.
On the rare occasion, we may sell out of flowers for the day, in which case same day delivery will be closed-off earlier than 10:00.
How much does delivery cost?
We have a standard delivery fee of: R80 for Johannesburg; R100 for Centurion and Pretoria; R80 for Cape Town.
How do we deliver?
Given our focus on fresh flowers in their absolute best condition, we aim to get the flowers to you as quickly and directly as possible with no stops along the way. As a result, we don’t use traditional courier companies. We work mostly with direct on-demand couriers.
How do the flowers arrive?
Our flowers are carefully flat packed top-to-tail in our Julep Box. They are intentionally without water. We also deliver some of our flowers ‘in bud’ (i.e. not yet fully open) and with their outer ‘guard’ petals. This ensures the flowers are protected during delivery and you can enjoy them for longer.
What happens if I can’t put the flowers in water as soon as they arrive? Is that an issue?
No problem! We only source and select flowers that can remain in our boxes for a number of hours and still be in great condition. Just remember to trim each stem by 3-5cm with a sharp angled cut before placing them in water. This will help with the rehydration.
What happens if no one is there to collect the delivery?
It is your responsibility to ensure that there will be someone to receive their Julep Box on the afternoon of your delivery date. If not, we will make our best efforts to contact you to arrange an alternative (which may impact delivery fee). If our delivery partner needs to the leave the box at the door or with a doorman, the box is sturdy and should stay in great shape. We can’t; however, be held responsible for the condition of the box in these circumstances.
What is your returns and refunds policy?
Julep supplies physical, perishable goods and will refund or replace these goods under certain conditions. As the goods are perishable, they are un-returnable. However, if your Julep order arrived at the destination damaged, we will replace or refund them when we are at fault. For more information, see our terms and conditions.
